Two years after L'Appartement de Madame L., Mouvements Modernes invites you to discover Monsieur H.'s Hôtel particulier.

Built in 1896 by architect Jacques Hermant for the Georgi family on the former Plaine de Passy, this classically styled showcase with its antique architectural repertoire is an ode to divine proportions.
Indeed, the dimensions of the grounds, the building, the façade and the reception rooms all fit into a golden rectangle, governed by the Fibonacci spiral.

The layout of the hotel and the splendor of its decor contrast with the elegant sobriety of the façade. Upon arrival, guests will discover the grand staircase, illuminated from above by a double glass roof, which leads to the reception areas: the petit and grand salons on the street side, the gallery, the winter garden on the courtyard side and the cabinet of curiosities.

Mouvements Modernes will bring back to life these spaces, where the owners used to receive guests to present their collections, by exhibiting works of art, objets d'art and collectible furniture. Transversality, a value dear to gallery founder Pierre Staudenmeyer and Sophie Mainier-Jullerot, is also characteristic of the great collections of the late 19th century.
While Paris will be the epicenter of creation, the place where art and the decorative arts will resonate from one fair to another, from one exhibition to the next,

Mouvements Modernes will offer its guests the chance to experience a contemporary collection in the splendor of the 19th century.
