Mouvements Modernes gallery is pleased to announce its participation in the 2018 edition of PAD Paris, from the 4th to 8th April.

On this occasion, the gallery founded by Pierre Staudenmeyer, will feature among a rare set of pieces designed by Garouste & Bonetti for the gallery Neotu, pieces by contemporary artists and designers, who reinvent and play with ornament, materials and forms.

As a common theme, the history of French decorative arts was very inspiring for the design of these pieces, and highlights the ingenuity of designers who appropriate this history while reinventing it.

The walls adorned abstracts tapestries, memories and impressions of landscapes of the young artist Alexandra Mocanu who reinvent the medium and its use, making it unique. The furniture-sculptures by Emma Donnersberg in hand-painted resin, remember the preciousness of tortoiseshell marquetry. Fabien Petiot, designer already presented by the gallery, creates for the fair a new collection of curved mirrors with contemporary accents, playing on the strangeness of an image and its function.
