One of the most influential designers of his generation, Ron Arad is an Israeli artist-designer, architect and visual artist born on April 24, 1951 in Tel Aviv. He settled in London in 1973 and enjoyed dazzling success with the design of a bold postmodern seat: the Rover armchair. Inspired by the Ready-made, he later developed a style between art and design where form and material are dominated by a play of curves and counter curves. A free and versatile creator, he evolves at the frontiers of architecture, design and art, bringing the work into a dialogue with its environment. In 2008 and 2009, the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) honoured his work with a retrospective entitled "No Discipline", an evocative title in view of his artistic production.

For this 2019 edition of the PAD Paris, Mouvements Modernes gallery will present a seat designed by the artist in the early 1990s for Driade: the Zigo chair.
