Shiro Kuramata designed this chair at the request of the architect Tadao Ando for his Mon Petit Chou café in Kyoto. Light and minimal with its strict geometric composition made of a square upholstered in black sky for the seat, matte steel tubes with a square cross-section for the base that both counteracts and balances a curved glossy tube forming a single back and armrest. This chair was produced by Ishimaru Co. Ltd. and then by UMS Pastoe. Both editions are sold out.
