The collaboration between Pierre Staudenmeyer and Christian Biecher goes back to Neotu and has endured since the foundation of Mouvements Modernes in 2002. The Silver chair is the result of a research project that P. Staudenmeyer edits in 2004. It explores the contrast between a very bright material and a very simple design, and combines the shining aspect of silver plate with the simplicity of an industrial product. Its loose padded cover looks like an oversized coat. It gives it a specific texture and random outlines.
